Textured Blossom

I am one of those people who can’t delete an image.  Even if I think it is terrible at the time, I keep it and consequently my hard-drive is drowning in thousands of unused images.  So, I decided to go through them and start deleting unusable shots.  That was quite the joke, and all I have done is transferred them to a portable hard-drive to free up my computer in readiness to drown it with the next batch of unusable shots.

But, in doing so, I come across the odd image that I wonder why I didn’t use it before!  This is one of them.

The texture used is from the AMAZING Shadow House Creations.  Check it out, this man has some serious talent!

Pastel Sunset

Lately I have found myself in a bit of a rut photography wise.  I find myself always going back to the same places, shooting the same angles and never really pushing myself to try something new.  So, I set myself a goal to look within a 1 kilometre radius of my house and find something to shoot.

I found this great little jetty overlooking the town of Albany, Western Australia.  Now I must point out that I have lived in this area for about 10 years and did not even know this place existed!! It belongs to Panorama Holiday Cottages & Caravan Park and they kindly let me wander in and shoot for hours.  A big thank you to Neil for your kindness.

So, it just goes to show there is plenty out there to shoot, we just have to open our eyes to the beauty right in our back  yard. And Albany sure is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

All Grown Up

I recently received a phone call from my sister asking me to take some shots of my niece and her friends for their school ball.

Always ready to snap anything that moves, I readily agreed.  Having not seen my niece for a few months, I was gobsmacked to see what a gorgeous creature she has blossomed into.  So needless to say, I shot hundreds of images, but will share but a few of my favourites.
